The Calendar of Events has been updated through November 2012 The calendar has been updated to show when Band Camp, Sectional Camps, Summer Rehearsals, and Regular School Rehearsals will be. It also notates when Home Football Games & Competitions will be held. The Competition Schedule will be finalized to include the possibility of an overnight trip to a regional band competition within the next couple of months. This will occur during the month of October. Please try to keep each weekend free until the schedule has been finalized.

District Band Achievements District Band auditions were held at Salem High School December 10, 2011. Twenty G.W. Band Students were selected to participate in this year's all district band. The event will be held at Martinsville High School February 3rd and 4th. Of the twenty, eight students qualified to audition for the All Virginia Band. This honor was earned by placing high in their respective sections. Auditions will be held at James Madison University February 25th. Good luck to All of these students.
