The George Washington High School Band and Band
Parent Association would like to thank all individuals and businesses that
supported our 32nd Annual Dixie Classic Band Competition. A special thanks
to all Trophy Sponsors, Patrons, and those who purchased an advertisement for
the program. Even though our contest was held inside due to inclement
weather, the event went off very smoothly. Twenty-four of the twenty-six
bands registered still competed for awards, cash prizes, and placements.
Many people were in attendance and we all learned a lot from the experience.
The G.W. Band also performed in exhibition, and did a fantastic job entertaining
our crowd.
We would like to thank all of the participating
bands, their directors and staff, and all visiting parents and friends for
working with us to make our event a success! We hope that you will choose
the Dixie Classic as your contest again on the 4th Saturday of September in
2010.

Administration and Custodial Staff for supporting our event and helping us to
